Quickstart Guide to Installation
Welcome to the quick installation guide of the Travel Theme
By following the instructions in this document, you will have your theme up and running in practically no time at all!

Installing TheTravelTheme
There are two ways to install TheTravelTheme.
Method 1 is via the WordPress Dashboard.
- Download the ZIP file
- Login to WordPress, usually accessible at http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin
- Select ‘Appearance’ > Themes
- Select ‘Upload’
- Upload TheTravelTheme.zip
- Activate
Method 2 is via FTP
- Download an FTP Client. For a list of FTP clients, please visit http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients
- Using an FTP client, connect to the server that your WordPress blog is hosted on
- Upload the folder TheTravelTheme to /public_html/wp-content/themes/
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard (http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/)
- From the left hand sidebar, select “Appearance”, then “Themes”
- Activate “TheTravelTheme”
Customising TheTravelTheme
To customise the way the theme looks, navigate to the theme options located within the Travel menu item on the left hand side of the WordPress Dashboard.
Homepage Settings
Your homepage is totally customisable via the ‘Homepage’ section of the ‘Travel’ menu.
If you would like to add blog posts to the homepage, simply add the following line of code to the Homepage Content Editor:
[blog count="5" width="630"]

You will now see 5 blog posts on the homepage.
This line of code was generated using the Shortcode Editor by clicking the drop down menu ‘Choose one’ and selecting ‘Blog’

How to setup the sidebar widgets
To setup the sidebar widgets of TheTravelTheme, click on ‘Appearance’ in the left hand side menu of the WordPress Dashboard and select ‘Widgets’.

How to setup the menu
TheTravelTheme takes advantage of WordPress 3.0 menu functionality, allowing you far more control and customisation opportunities from within the WordPress Dashboard.
To setup the sidebar widgets of TheTravelTheme, click on ‘Appearance’ in the left hand side menu of the WordPress Dashboard and select ‘Menu’.

Flickr installation guide
To set up your own Flickr gallery, download the Flickr Photo Album Plugin by Joe Tan. The installation files for this plugin are included in the download zip file of TheTravelTheme, or can be installed using from within the WordPress Dashboard (Plugins > Add New > Search for Flickr Photo Album)
Simply activate the plugin and follow the instruction steps.
